The origins of the Hawker 800XP go back as far as any business jet on the market, to the 1960s. The Hawker is a much, much-developed variation of the British Aerospace BAe 125, the best-selling mid-sized corporate jet. The model has changed hands many times — from de Havilland to Hawker Siddeley to British Aerospace to Raytheon — on its way to its current place in Hawker Beechcraft’s production. Thousands of BAe 125-based business jets have been manufactured in the past 47 years.
