Dassault is currently the only producer of corporate jets with more than two engines, with its Falcon 900 family of trijets. The Falcon family was born in 1965 with the Falcon 20, and has seen huge popularity with its 50, 200 and 2000 models. The 900 came about as a larger and revised version of the Falcon 50 three-engine jet. The sizable Falcon 900 was designed in the 1980s for transcontinental flights. Dassault has rolled out improved and updated versions of the 900, including the 900B, 900C, 900EX and 900EX. The Falcon 7X will be Dassault's next-generation trijet business aircraft.
