The Cessna Citation Encore and Encore+ are the most recent updates to the Citation V family. The V hit the market in the late 1980s as a small-to-medium-size business jet. The V was first updated with the introduction of the Ultra, and later the Encore series, certified in 2000. The Encore credits its speed to two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535B turbofan engines, and its straight wing design. The standard Encore fits eight passengers in one of the longest cabins among light jets.
